2026 Conservation Legacy Story Contest
Every service experience has a story. What's yours?
From unforgettable moments in the field to lessons learned on hitch, the Conservation Legacy community is full of stories worth sharing. The Story Contest is back, and we want to hear yours!
Whether you're a current member, alum, or staff member, we invite you to dig through your old journals, camera rolls, and field memories and share a piece of your Conservation Legacy experience. Tell us about the people you've met, the places you've explored, the challenges you've overcome, or the moments that have stayed with you long after your service ended.
Your story doesn't have to be polished or profound. It just has to be yours.

What Can You Submit?
There's no one way to tell a story. We're looking for creative work that captures your experiences with Conservation Legacy, our programs, and the communities and public lands we serve.
Submissions can include:
- Stories and journal entries: Memorable moments from the field, hitch, or your service experience.
- Poems and songs: Creative ways to reflect on your time with Conservation Legacy.
- Photos and videos: Snapshots of life in the field, special memories, or moments that tell a bigger story.
- Art and sketches: Illustrations, drawings, and other creative expressions inspired by your experience.
- Other creative work: Have another idea? We'd love to see it!
You may submit up to two entries.

Who Can Enter?
The contest is open to all current Conservation Legacy members, alumni, and staff. No matter your role, program, or when you served, we'd love to hear your story.
