Celebrating 20 years of Conservation Service!
April 22, 2018 | In 2014, on Earth Day, Conservation Legacy was created to support several existing local conservation corps and national service programs that have been in operation across the country, some for the past 20 years.
Our roots go back to the late '90's with CREC Coconino Rural Environment Corps, Southwest Conservation Corps, the Youth Corps of Southern Arizona (YCOSA), and to the many people who were planting the seeds of conservation and service work along the way. We are part of a much larger, shared movement, and we proudly help carry that legacy into the 21st Century.
Now it's time we celebrate our collective 20th Anniversary! Throughout the rest of 2018, we will be highlighting some of our alumni and partners, projects, accomplishments and programs. Read more about our Alumni and their legacy of service:
William Drabkin, Founder, Youth Corps of Southern Arizona
Jeff Hankens, Coconino Rural Environment Corps Alumni
