Durango, CO — Conservation Legacy is proud to announce its role as a Programming Partner of America250, the official commemoration of the United States’ 250th anniversary. As the nation approaches this historic milestone in 2026, Conservation Legacy joins the America250 “America Gives” initiative—honoring the enduring power of service and how it has helped shape our nation and local communities.

Through this partnership, Conservation Legacy will highlight and expand its commitment to national service—mobilizing young adults and veterans to conserve and restore our nation’s public lands, strengthen communities, and cultivate the next generation of leaders.

“America Gives is a call to action to serve communities and lands with a common purpose,” said Amy Sovocool, President of Conservation Legacy. “For more than 25 years, Conservation Legacy has embodied that call by engaging thousands of Americans in hands-on service that protects our lands, builds community resilience, and inspires a lifelong ethic of stewardship. We’re honored to stand with America250 in celebrating these values that unite us.”

The America Gives theme recognizes that volunteerism and service are at the heart of the American story—from the earliest acts of neighbor helping neighbor to the modern national service movement. Conservation Legacy’s corps programs, operating across all 50 states, reflect this same spirit of giving back and building a stronger, more connected nation.

With a focus on developing the next generation, Conservation Legacy is proud to recognize that America’s greatest strength has always been its people—those who give their time, energy, and heart to make their communities better. Conservation Legacy is proud to be amplifying this message through the lens of national service and commitment to lands and shared spaces across the nation.

Through the partnership, Conservation Legacy and America250 will collaborate on storytelling, volunteer engagement, and local events across the nation in 2026, highlighting the transformative impact of service and community engagement nationwide.
